The City of Tonkawa is taking applications for Part-Time Dispatchers. The dispatcher must meet several requirements.

Requirements:

  • Applicant must be 18 years of age and a US citizen.
  • Must have a High School diploma or GED.
  • Must have a valid Oklahoma Driver’s license.
  • Must pass a back-ground investigation and undergo pre-employment screening to include but not limited to: Drug testing, Credit checks, Written test, and Oral interview.
  • No felony convictions or major misdemeanors.
  • No domestic violation convictions.
  • No convictions of crimes of moral turpitude.
  • No pending criminal charges.
  • Must NOT have a DUI, DWI, or reckless driving violation within the last five (5) years.
  • Excellent rural community communication skills.
  • Must be able to work shift work (Nights, Weekends, and Holidays)
  • A true desire to serve all members of society.
  • The applicant must be able to multitask.
  • The applicant must be able to use a computer.
  • The applicant must be able to talk on a radio.
  • The applicant must perform jail duties (feed prisoners, clean jail, and clean jail clothing).

The City of Tonkawa (OK) is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Municipal Utility Billing Clerk. This is a full-time position that plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of our utility billing services.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage the utility billing process, including data entry and billing cycle management.

Maintain accurate records of utility accounts and payments.

Respond to customer inquiries regarding billing, services, and account information.

Prepare and distribute monthly utility bills to customers.

Assist in the implementation and management of billing software (Encode 10).

Collaborate with other city departments to ensure compliance with utility regulations.

Generate reports related to utility usage, revenue, and customer accounts.

Manage office operations, including filing, documentation, and record-keeping.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in business administration or a related field preferred.

Customer service skills are a must, with excellent telephone etiquette.

Firm knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and general computer utilization.

Good typing skills and familiarity with data entry processes.

Familiarity with utility billing processes and billing software (Encode 10) is preferred but not required.

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.
