Tonkawa is governed by a City Council of four ward councilmen and a mayor, supported by a city manager and department heads. City Council meets on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 5:30 PM in the council chambers at City Hall, 115 S. 7th Street.

Tonkawa is a progressive community that cares about our residents.
As Mayor, I work to make sure our town is always moving forward, in both community and business development. We currently have several projects working that are designed to enhance our infrastructure, making sure that as we grow our systems are ready. We provide full-time police and fire departments, making Tonkawa one of the safest communities in our area. Our residents enjoy many community activities, a growing business sector, a very strong public education system along with our 2-year community college. Our Tonkawa Tribe of Oklahoma has a rich and vibrant history and is expanding their many business enterprises.
We are a small town with big opportunities, and we invite you to come and see why we love our hometown.
