This affects the very infrastructure of our community, from the provision of better insurance rates for homes and businesses, to the greater sense of safety available to you and your family.
As the Tonkawa Fire Department, we want to provide you with thoughtful, customer-oriented services. We want to create partnership and problem-solving strategies that promote safety, security, and well-being for all.
It is critical that we are able to continually offer life-saving medical services, including to our neighbors living outside of Tonkawa city limits. By providing annual ambulance subscriptions, we are able to keep costs lower while ensuring continued service. Learn how to sign up below.

Tonkawa, “The Wheatheart of Oklahoma” is located in Kay County in north central Oklahoma on Interstate 35, 100 miles north of Oklahoma City and 75 miles south of Wichita KS.
Take exit 214 for U.S. Hwy 60 and go approximately 2 miles to U.S. Hwy 77 exit that takes you into Tonkawa.
